Triwer.io – According to rumors, "The Crown" and Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's Netflix documentary series are being released at the same time. Page Six reports that Netflix is "determined" to coordinate the releases in order to prevent the planned autobiography of the Duke of Sussex from overshadowing the episodes.

"There is a lot to plan and a lot going on in this situation. Netflix wants to be sure they enter and are not outbid "adds a source. "Executives at Netflix wanted the series this year because they knew the book was going to be published. They want to stop waiting right away."

Following the signing of a rumored multi-million dollar contract with Netflix in 2021, Harry and his ex-actress wife have been working on their Netflix programming for more than a year. According to reports, executives plan to start airing their docuseries soon after "The Crown" season five premieres on the streaming service in November.

Page Six tacked on Calls to Netflix and the Sussexes' reps for comment went unanswered. The couple, who have children named Archie, 3, and Lilibet, 1, have reportedly expressed a desire for the series to premiere in 2023, according to the website.

Imelda Staunton, best known for her role as Dolores Umbridge in the "Harry Potter" movies, will play Queen Elizabeth in the fifth season of "The Crown." Elizabeth Debicki will play Princess Diana, Harry's mother, and it's known that the series will cover the events leading up to Diana's passing in a Paris automobile accident in August 1997 when she was 36 years old.

Harry's memoir is scheduled to be released in the fall, but it is anticipated that it will be released before "The Crown" airs. The book, which was being co-written by JR Moehringer, is rumored to be about the Duke's upbringing and military service, and it would reportedly contain embarrassing tales about the royal family.
